I want to dedicate this post to those of you who are self employed, aspiring entrepreneurs, or small to medium sized business owners, and of course not to forget, the audience/potential customers.
How the heck are you going to market your brand or company without advertising? Basically, how are you going to promote it? I have dealt with business owners who believe they don’t need advertising at all. Well, good luck on NOT getting anybody to your door!
The typical answers would always be “well advertising is expensive, I really can’t afford it.” Obviously they’re not Fortune 500 companies who can actually afford 70 billion dollars worth of advertising that includes print, television, and much more. There is really no point in running a business without advertising. You want to get people in the door, you want people to buy your products or services. Advertising makes that possible! With the right message and a direct call to action, you can guarantee potential customers will walk in the door and be fully aware of your brands.
However, for the viewers’ perspectives, let’s say that one day you are trying to make a decision of the simple actions such as where to have lunch at the moment. Of course you may be currently watching television, listening to the radio, or reading a magazine. So what do you see or hear? A Subway ad! And now, where do you want to have lunch? At Subway! The point is, advertising has the ability to influence your decision! It’s as simple as that!
